The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After spending 24 years in the retailing business, 11 years with my own retail store, I now have close to 24 years as a financial services professional - all with New York Life Insurance Company. I will soon be married 40 years to the same wonderful woman, Karen. For the past 17 years we have resided in a golf resort community, Kingsmill on the James, in Williamsburg Virginia. Presidents Cinton, Bush and now Obama have paid visits to Kingsmill when the Democratic Senators convene here almost every year. I have remained Penn State Proud, with Va. Penn State license plates, and proudly display a framed print of "Old Main" in my insurance office. My favorite story is when I accidentally ran into a Penn State family, in a convenience store near my home, who were disappointed they could not get a tee time on one of Kingsmill's golf courses. I naturally invited them to join me, and a great time was enjoyed by all. Several weeks later, I received a large crate of oranges and grapefruit as a thank you, from their orange grove in Gettysburg, Pa. I was finally able to convince my wife that Penn State alums are a special breed.
